< NY STYLE >



I say the major difference between LA style and NY style,

我說LA STYLE和NY STYLE主要上的分別



Well,is the fact that,in NY style,basically for my generation,

事實上,NY STYLE的"根本"是來自我的年代



We're trying to catch more of the music,it's not as much"posing",

我們是在試圖去捉更多的音樂,不會去捉太多的"posing"



< LA STYLE >



The LA style is more made,I think it is more made and condensed so that everybody can do it,

LA style 就較多製造"posing",我想它是製造更多和濃縮至每一個人都可以做倒



Everybody can do choreography but not many people can dance these days,

任何人都可以在短時間內學好一段編排,但不是有很多人能夠在幾天內學識跳舞



It's because they're only learning "1,2,and3" Insead of dancin to the music,

這是因為他們只是在學習跟程序的步驟來代替了在音樂中跳舞



< FAKE HIPHOP DANCE >



They nothing wrong with doing it for the job,

在商業工作上他們是沒有錯的



But the problem I have with it is that,I dont see a lot of  HIPHOP in the LA style,

但問題我反對它,我看不見LA style中有很多HIPHOP的存在



It's more like a watered-down version of HIPHOP,It's like street jazz more to me,

它就像降級版的HIPHOP,對我來說它比較像street jazz



Because they're using a lot of "posing" ...huh...and hands,they barely move their feet,

因為他們用很多的"posing",嚴重缺忽了下半身的活動,



They do a spin here and there,

and they have no real body movement and feeling when the dance to the music,

他們只是把"posing"編織起來,他們在音樂中跳舞時,是沒有真正的身體活動和感覺



So to me is's more street jazz than I wond say it's HIPHOP,

所以對我來說LA style是street jazz多於說是HIPHOP



< REAL HIPHOP DANCE >



ON the East Coast,we try to really use the music and really catch the feeling of the music,

在東岸,我們會認真去用音樂,認真去捉摸音樂的感覺



We have "battle" mentality over in NEW YORK,where it's like,

you get in the circle,you try to show or represent what you are as dancer,

在NEW YORK我們有"battle"方式的精神,一堆人圍起圈子,

我們會在圈中跳舞,在圈中去表現或表達自己是一個DANCER,



I  see a lot of people that,in other countries,that have taken classes from other people,

but when they take my class,they can't take it,because they"re uesd to just "poses"

they're not use to dance and trying to catch all the music

我見有很多人,在不同國家的人,有去其他人的跳舞班上課的人...

但當他們上在我的堂,他們跟不上,因為他們只是在"poses",

他們沒有跳舞,沒有嘗試去捉摸音樂的全部

If you wanna know the real HIPHOP.And everybody out there,learn your history!

HIPHOP does have a history and it does have steps,it does have technique

如果想知道什麼是真正的HIPHOP,請所有人去學習HIPHOP的歷史,

HIPHOP是有它的歷史,有它的舞步,有它的技術,



And for all you people tha claim you're HIPHOP,

If you don't know who're the originators of HIPHOP,

stop calling yourself HIPHOP!!!

所有聲稱自己是HIPHOP的人,

如果你不知道HIPHOP的元祖是誰,

請停止不要再稱自己是HIPHOP!!!



Go out there and research!Learn the dance for real!
